Today's the big day!! He arrives tonight in Salt Lake and will come home. I thought he was going to Camp William's, but he is done and will be home tonight!

He's in Indiana!! He has no release date, but he's getting closer!

Got to "chat" with Shane for just a minute last night. He is still at an airbase waiting . . . I asked if he has flight plans back to the states yet and he said possibly tomorrow (which is today), but they also said that on Tuesday. So I am expecting a phone call any day.

New date for leaving is now the 20th. He will be going to another base foreign for about 5 days, then back to the states for however many days before he comes home. With the military you just never know!!

Latest word is the 19th he will be leaving to come home!! He is pretty sure he will go the the base in the US that he left from but has no idea how long he will be there. He says it can be anywhere from one day to a month so we have to wait on that part, but it is getting close!!

Another phone call last night. Nothing really new, it was just time for a call. He has moved to a different base. It is the base of the address that we have been sending everything too, and he is pretty sure he will be there until he comes home. His coming home information remains the same. . .when he knows we will know, but it he still feels he will be stateside for his birthday.

Got a quick phone call yesterday, he had to end it abruptly so it was quick. If I understood him right, he is still at the airbase that he arrived back at and will probably stay there until coming home. This also means that there isn't much for him to do. I told him there has been a lot in the news the last couple of days and he indicated that it is "down south" so it is away from him, at least that is what I tell myself. I sleep better at night if I tell myself those things!

He doesn't have a release date yet but feel he will be stateside for his birthday, but not home. Either way it is getting close and I will take it!

Got a phone call from him on Thursday and he is back safely. He may be going to a new base, wasn't really sure at the time. He will let me know as soon as he can. If you are sending anything, it can go to the same address as before and it will get to him. He still isn't sure of his release date yet so keep that in mind, that he still thinks he maybe home in time for his birthday.

It was good having him home and seeing that he was okay.

Called again and said he won't know what time his flight will come in home until he reaches the states. So it will be one of those things that will will probably know 3-4 hours before it happens, so have your running shoes on and be ready!!

Got another phone call this morning and he was acting kind of weird. It was noon our time which makes it midnight his time and I thought that could be some of it. I then asked if he was passing a stone and on drugs and that wasn't it. He just kept asking what was new and what I am doing . . . then he said what are you doing in about 2 weeks. I said "are your coming home"? and he said yes. He still isn't sure of the date and it will be for 15 days, then will go back and show the new ones coming to replace him what they need to know then will come back. Those baby blues maybe coming sooner than we think.

Got a phone call on the first wishing us a Happy New Year! He keeps hinting that he will be home before his birthday or sooner. I just waiting until I see his baby blues, then I will believe it for sure.
